There are so many different shades of green in this river. It was very exciting to try to capture the swift movement and direction of the water. I used a painting knife to carve out the texture of the rocks, (rather timidly at first). I can't wait to do another river painting!

Pears and Cherries is the third painting completed in the Edmondson workshop. It takes me a little while to complete a painting because I'm constantly making corrections, but I'm determined to get past stumbling blocks.

In January I began taking a course with Daniel Edmondson and this was the first painting I completed.  Since I have not painted for awhile, I felt very clumsy and tight at first. It will probably take a bit for me to loosen up!
